H.E attendance in anti extremism Conference


On 25th of Feb, His Excellency the Ambassador has attended a 2 days International Conference on “International Conference on Deradicalization and Countering Violent Extremism 2016” conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia. Ambassador Atifmal accompanied by his 2nd Secretary Ms. Fayeza Sadat has attended the conference along with representatives and delegates from more than 18 countries. Prime Minister Najib, in his opening speech, after welcoming the delegates and guests at Grand Hyatt said” I will not allow Malaysia to be so open to infiltration. The law is there to protect us all, but of those who want to bomb, maim and behead can never be placed above the peaceful majority who firmly reject violence and war.”

In the following, speakers from Australia, China and other also emphasized on the importance of united international effort against extremism from any group.

It is noteworthy to mention that the aim of conference was to enhance the mutual cooperation between all countries using the anti-extremism, experience exchange, research and development on the anti-extremism programs, by recognition of vulnerable groups and discussion on the role of governments in rehabilitation of terrorist prisoners.
